KUSCO scholarship program recognizes outstanding Graduate Students who have demonstrated excellent talents in the fields of science and engineering and helps identify and nurture potential leaders of scientific community for closer cooperation between Korea and the US in the future. KUSCO operates this program in cooperation with the KSEA. Awardees will receive a check of $1,500 each from KUSCO and be given an opportunity to attend the Award Ceremony. Travel expense for attending the Award Ceremony will be reimbursed by KUSCO.
KUSCO operates this program in cooperation with the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers Association (KSEA). KSEA will handle all the logistics including announcing scholarship program, soliciting applications and performing a screening process through the professional subcommittees. And KUSCO would determine the final selection of scholarship awardees among selected candidates. Final selections need to present an abstract for a poster or oral presentation at US-Korea Conference (UKC) on Science, Technology and Entrepreneurship. UKC is usually taken place on August every-year.
Number of recipients would be around 10 to 15 persons a year. Awardees will receive $1,500 and have an opportunity to attend the Award Ceremony. The certificate and scholarship fund will be presented at the UKC Conference.
