On July 15th, 2009 President Chan-Mo, Park from the National Research Foundation (NRF) visited KUSCO with other Korean delegations including Kim, Jung-Hyun, Vice Minister of the Education, Science and Technology(MEST).
Since last July 1st, NRF has become one of the biggest researcher-oriented organizations focused on enhancing the competitive advantage of Korea’s national R&D with approximately 2.3billion budget a year.
NRF has unified with three different organizations; The Korea Science and Engineering Foundation (KOSEF), the Korea Foundation for International Cooperation of Science and Technology (KICOS), the Korea Research Foundation (KRF), in order to enhance convenience of support system for researchers through integration and simplification of various research support systems and to refine classification of basic research, the humanities and social sciences disciplines to improve specialization and efficiency in research management.
